Assistant Principal PreK-4

Dear Fairfield Township School Community,

Hello, my name is Diana Kaithern, Dr. K., and it is an honor to introduce myself as the newest assistant principal for Pk-4th grade and to join the extraordinary learning community of Fairfield Township School. I hope this letter finds you eagerly awaiting a rejuvenating spring break, and, upon our return, I look forward to getting to know each of your families and learning how I can best support each student in providinghigh-quality learning experience.

This 2024-2025 school year marks my 14th year in education, and 22nd year workingwith children and youth. I spent the majority of my educational career as a middleschool English teacher for Bridgeton Public Schools, and have directed numerousafterschool and summer programs and camps throughout Bridgeton, Vineland, and Woodstown.

In 2024, I completed my doctorate in educational leadership. While writing mydissertation, I wrote and piloted a new, culturally-responsive, language arts curriculumand saw very encouraging results which bolstered my own educational philosophythat all parties perform at their best when they feel seen and known. Being a mother oftwo toddler boys, James and Harvey, has also taught me the importance of settingreasonable expectations, clear communication, and perseverance.

With my goal of continuing the tradition of excellence, I am committed to tirelesslyexploring new ways to meet the needs of all students and to effectively communicatewith parents and community members. Fairfield Township School has a strongcommitment to academic achievement, and I am thrilled to work in partnership toensure our students receive a safe, meaningful, and challenging educationalexperience. I look forward to conversations with you and welcome your ideas andinput as we put our children first. I also look forward to celebrating our collectivesuccesses during the remaining months of this school year!

Sincerely,
Diana L. Kaithern, Ed.D
